Report Forms

Due dates for annual reports are:

• Parish report to Diocesan – December 15th
• Diocesan report to Provincial – February 15th
• Provincial report to National – March 15th

If you have not received reports from your parish counterparts by December 15th don’t give up on them. Try calling them and asking the questions over the phone. What a wonderful way to make new friends while working towards 100% of councils reporting!

Membership

How successful were parish councils with the “Membership Challenge” put forward by Velma Harasen? I have enclosed both provincial and national membership stats for your perusal and as you can see BC & Yukon have a lot to be proud of, we have the highest percentage of increase in all of Canada! Let’s keep the enthusiasm alive and reach our provincial goal of 10,000 members for the year 2010!!

Remember, personal contact still remains the number one means of recruiting and retaining members.

Leadership Training and Workshops

To date the new provincial leadership development workshop has been facilitated seven times throughout the province. This workshop has informed and encouraged members on what the League has to offer and what they have to offer the League. When asked on the evaluation forms if members would recommend the workshop to others there has been a resounding 100% “Yes” with a desire for all members to attend. So what are we waiting for? Talk to your diocesan president and let’s book more workshops! For more information you can contact me.

There is also a new Leadership Development workshop developed by Velma Harasen that can be located in the programs section in the National League website. This workshop can be used at any level of the League and can be adapted to whatever the needs within your councils.

A big thank you to all Diocesan Organization Chairpersons for all the work you do for God and Canada. Please remember to continue sending me a copy of all your communiqués. And if at any time you have any questions or concerns regarding one of my communiqués, or regarding the duties of the Organization Standing Committee do not hesitate to contact me, I would love to hear from you!

This will be my last communiqué to you before Christmas; I therefore would like to wish all of you a very blessed Christmas Season with the joy of Christ overflowing in your hearts!
