Membership

We have a great organization and with a great deal to offer to all the women in our parishes.   An organization that strives to live out the Catholic ideal in church and family; that recognizes the human dignity of all people; to uphold and defend Christian education and values in this world of ours as well as contributing to the understanding & growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace & harmony.

It is important to be welcoming, to make a place for the ladies who are busy with families or perhaps working by being flexible with meeting times.   Maintain contact and keep members who cannot attend meetings informed by sending/posting the minutes or a newsletter; or with a phone call.  There is a place for women of all ages, working or retired to belong in the League.

Although many councils are still in the middle of their membership drive, parish councils are asked to submit the membership renewals collected so far to National by the deadline date, February 28^th.
 

Tracking Form

Once again, the Provincial Council of the Catholic Women’s League is requesting you use the enclosed form as a method of tracking membership during the year.

This form is a great tool to:

• report to your individual councils monthly how your membership is doing,
• have the information ready to do an interim report April 30^th at Diocesan Conventions
• have all the information necessary to complete the annual report at the end of the year.
• see at a glance how you are doing with the collection of dues as well as how your council is faring with membership.
• can be used as incentive to increase members and collect dues earlier.
• track growth from year to year.

Thank you for your co-operation in using this form.  We came so close to reaching our goal of 10,000 members in BC & Yukon.  See what you can do in 2008!

For all Diocesan Chairpersons to please send a copy of their Diocesan communiqué to their Provincial counterpart.

May Our Lady of Good Counsel recommend us to her Son during this Lenten Season.
